About Us
My name is Anthony Green
I have created Somerset Yarn Dyeing Co to serve the UK textile industry with a yarn dyeing service, which can be trusted to deliver.
With over twenty years in the industry I believe that many weavers, knitters, and carpet manufacturers need a Yarn Dyer, which they can rely on to supply small to medium dye lots, quickly and efficiently - and that is exactly what we will do.
We concentrate on four areas to ensure that we offer the best possible service to you;
Trust, Quality, Responsiveness and Sustainability.
Somerset Yarn Dyeing Co exists to support the industry, that's Weavers, Knitters, Yarn Brands, Carpet Manufacturers AND larger high volume Dye Houses.

Quality
We believe that Quality is achieved through clear communication and strict process controls.
IN THE LAB
We have new and state of the art equipment, including a Spectrophotometer, Sample Dyeing Machine, Lightbox and various fastness testing apparatus.
IN THE DYE HOUSE
All of our dye tanks are fitted with digital control panels, allowing us to control the dyeing process to the tightest of parameters.
WINDING
Our preparation and back winding machines are new, and come with precision winding and splicing.
PROCESS CONTROL
With knowledge and experience in LEAN Manufacturing and Kaizen, we have created high standard process controls, and a Continuous Improvement culture.
Responsive
We believe that our customers deserve and need a quick response, to help them to serve their customers well.
Whether the quick response is in the form of communication or delivery, we are committed to responding to your requirements quickly and efficiently.
Our following in-house services and industry knowledge best place us to respond with flexibility and agility.
Shade Matching
We have the ability to match up to 15 new shades per day. With our knowledge and laboratory equipment.
Package Yarn Dyeing
With 8 dye tanks, ranging from 2kg up to 200kg, we have the capacity to turn around small to medium dye lots within three weeks.
Radio Frequency Drying
Our Radio Frequency Drier gives us the ability to dry batches efficiently and quickly.
Re-winding
Our in house preparation wind and back winding machines allow us to prepare and finish the perfect package
